Trade Mastermind in Peterborough is seeking a commercially minded Credit Controller who excels at building relationships and safeguarding cash flow. You will own the credit control cycle, chasing payments and negotiating terms with confidence.

This office-based role requires strong communication skills, resilience, and meticulous attention to detail as you work with clients and internal teams to keep accounts current and disputes to a minimum.

Qualifications

• Proven credit control experience and accounts receivable knowledge.
• Excellent telephone manner and professional communication.
• Commercially minded, resilient, and results-driven.
• Ability to balance relationship-building with firm credit control.
• High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
• Confident with financial systems and Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the credit control cycle and drive timely payments.
• Build strong relationships with clients to secure commitments.
• Chase overdue invoices via phone and written communication.
• Negotiate payment plans where appropriate.
• Monitor accounts and assess non-payment risk.
• Resolve invoice queries quickly to remove barriers.
• Produce debtor reports as required.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure uninterrupted payments.
