Job summary

Cluttons in Manchester is seeking a Credit Controller to manage arrears and drive timely resolutions. You will chase payments, implement payment plans, instruct legal action when needed, and maintain accurate data in TRAMPS/APB systems. The role collaborates with tenants, surveyors, and client accountants to protect cash flow and service delivery.

The successful candidate will be numerate, detail-focused, and proficient in MS Office; experience in property management is desirable.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in credit control, finance operations, and reporting.
• Knowledge of property management is desirable.
• Strong interpersonal and professional communication skills.
• Numerate with high attention to detail in financial processes.
• Proficient IT skills including Excel and Word.
• Experience with TRAMPS/APB systems is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Chasing arrears and recovering debts on behalf of clients.
• Implementing payment plans with tenants and surveyors.
• Instructing solicitors or bailiffs when required.
• Maintaining data accuracy in property databases and TRAMPS/APB.
• Preparing and maintaining monthly credit control reports.
• Liaising daily with Facilities Managers, Surveyors, and Client Accountants.
• Responding to tenant queries via phone, email, or letter.
• Continuing process improvements and adherence to controls.
