Credit Controller

Salary Guide: 28,000 - 32,000 (depending on experience) + 25 days holiday + pension + bens

Location: Reading-based - 2-3 days per week in the office, with the rest working from home

Facilities: All public transport routes available, free parking, very modern offices

We are delighted to be working with our well-established, high-profile business services client, who has a requirement for a Credit Controller to join their friendly Credit Control team. Ideally, you will have recent Credit Control experience, but applications are also open to those with other finance experience or customer service roles. This role offers a superb opportunity to work on key accounts and assist in maintaining a busy UK ledger.

You will report to the Credit Manager and work closely with the wider Credit Team, which includes a highly personable and experienced UK collections team of 8. Your responsibilities will include:

• Daily collection of cash across a ledger of approximately (Apply online only) live accounts
• Reconciling bank accounts
• Maintaining and reducing the DSO where possible
• Working within company policy and timescales regarding outstanding debt
• Suggesting solutions for difficult and challenging accounts
• Collaborating within the Credit Team, Accounts team, and UK Customer Services team
• Taking ownership of your accounts, making notes on the system for all calls and activities
• Providing support and cover for team members and departments as required

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous Credit Control experience in the UK, or relevant experience from Customer Services or finance roles
• The ability to work independently with a proactive, engaging approach

This role is based in Reading, requiring 2-3 days in the office per week, with the remainder working from home. Full training on their systems will be provided. Candidates with prior Credit Control experience are preferred.
