Job summary

Our client, a leading international law firm specialising in litigation, seeks an experienced Credit Controller to join their London finance team. You will take ownership of all areas of credit control across UK and global ledgers.

The firm offers hybrid working (2 office/3 home) and a salary up to £60,000 with two annual bonuses. You will report directly to the Finance Director and play a key role in debt management and client communications.

Qualifications

• Experience in credit control and debt management across multiple ledgers.
• Strong communication with international clients and internal teams.
• Proven ability to chase invoices and manage eBilling portals.

Responsibilities

• Manage UK and global ledgers and monitor debt balances.
• Chase outstanding invoices and liaise with international clients.
• Upload invoices and manage eBilling portals.
• Perform regular debt balance reviews and respond to client requests.
• Update the credit control system with actions and reminders.
• Report aged debt to Finance Director and escalate timely.
• Process payments via telephone and run monthly statements.

• Ensuringpromptreplytoclientsandmaintainingfollowupasrequiredtoensurepropermanagementofdebtsincludingdealingwithclientrequests
• Updatingthefirm’screditcontrolsystem(SOS)withactions,reminders,followupnotesetc.
• ReportingtotheFDreageddebt
• Processingpaymentsviatelephone
• Runningmonthlystatement
