Job summary

Jobtailor in Gloucester is seeking a diligent Credit Controller to deliver an effective credit control service, maintain worksheets for performance figures and maximise cash collection. You will liaise with internal teams and external contacts mainly by telephone to keep collections on track.

The role requires solid experience in credit control, strong negotiation and relationship-building skills, familiarity with BACS direct debit collections, and relevant certificates in credit management.

Qualifications

• Experience in a credit control role is advantageous.
• Negotiation skills with brokers, customers, underwriters and BDMs.
• Effective relationship building with intermediaries and customers.
• Familiar with direct debit collections by BACS.
• Certificate in Credit Management or Level 3 Diploma in Credit Management.
• Previous credit control experience within the financial services industry.

• Produce Regional reports highlighting credit performance results and key issues.
• Promptly and accurately escalated credit issues as appropriate.
• Deliver accurate MI within defined timescales.
• Produce appropriate documentation to be used in both internal and external settings ensuring quality is in line with requirements.
• Assist as required with Ad hoc projects.
