An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Credit Control Manager to join our highly driven and dynamic Finance team on a full time, permanent basis. The Credit Control Manager will be responsible for all aspects of credit control and will also manage 1 other Credit Controller. We’re looking for hands on experience and somebody that can lead from the front in a busy, everchanging department.

Established in 1996, we’ve supported our valued customers to rationalise and decarbonise their fleets, save money and improve efficiency by reducing ‘Vehicle Off Road’ (VOR) time.

What will be your duties?

• As the Credit Control Manager you will be responsible for performing annual, monthly and daily invoice runs with numerous types of invoices, which include consolidated billing, partially consolidated billing and invoice-by-invoice invoicing.
• Chasing over 300 B2B customers (split between 2 credit controllers). Our customers range from large national customers, local councils and small limited companies.
• Ownership and oversight of the key processes around credit control – including credit checking new customers and onboarding new customers.
• Ownership of the credit insurance policy for the business, including reviewing account limits, claims and processes around policy renewal.
• Determining and assessing the requirement for bad debt provisions.
• Managing the contract hire renewal process and liaising with the Commercial Team regarding advanced rentals and go live dates of new vehicles.
• Monthly Flexi hire invoice run.
• Managing and maintaining the invoice financing facility.
• Cash receipt forecasting that will feed into the group cashflow forecast.
• Undertaking projects to improve processes and controls in credit control – in particular, project work in these areas when the business looks to change its accounting system.
• Periodic reviews of the aged debtor’s ledger to identify risks, actions and write-offs.
• Ensuring high levels of control and robust processes around all aspects of credit control.
• Line management responsibility for the credit control team, including 1-1s, goal setting and performance reviews, holiday approvals, absence processes, etc.
