Job summary

Mitchell Adam Ltd is seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join its growing finance team in the UK. This varied, fast-paced role focuses on managing credit control and supporting the sales ledger and billing functions, with customer relationships at its core.

You will proactively chase overdue payments, reconcile ledgers, allocate cash and resolve account queries while preparing invoices and adjustments as needed. Hybrid working and ongoing training are offered.

Qualifications

Working as part of a friendly finance team, you will be responsible for managing the credit control process while supporting the wider sales ledger and billing functions. You will proactively chase outstanding payments, maintain customer accounts, allocate cash, reconcile ledgers and resolve customer account queries in a professional and timely manner. You will also prepare and issue invoices, investigate discrepancies, process account adjustments where required and work closely with colleagues across the business to ensure customer accounts remain accurate.

Ideally you will have:

• Previous experience in Credit Control, Sales Ledger, Accounts Receivable or a similar finance role.
• Experience managing customer accounts, chasing outstanding debt, raising invoices and allocating cash.
• Strong customer service and communication skills with the confidence to build relationships and resolve account queries professionally.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a busy and varied workload.
