Job summary

AFR Consulting is seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join our busy team. The role focuses on chasing overdue accounts, raising credits and invoices, and reconciling statements to ensure accurate sales ledgers.

You will work closely with sales and customer services to resolve invoice issues and maintain cash flow. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, accustomed to tight deadlines, and proficient in Excel.

• Capable of working to tight deadlines and multitasking.
• Good IT user with proficiency in Excel.

Responsibilities

• Chase overdue customer accounts by phone and email.
• Identify high-risk or slow-paying customers and escalate as needed.
• Input daily payments.
• Raise credits and invoices promptly.
• Manage and reconcile statements; monitor transaction reports for accuracy.
• Support sales to keep ledgers accurate.
• Send month-end statements to customers.
• Perform credit checks and due diligence for new accounts.
• Credit card reconciliations.

Due to a recent promotion, our client is recruiting for an experienced Credit Controller. This company have had amazing growth over the past 10 years and are looking for a candidate who has a real passion and love for credit control to join their busy team.

Duties include:

• Chasing overdue customer accounts vis phone and email
• Identify high-risk or slow-paying customers and escalating where appropriate.
• Daily input of payments
• Raising credits and invoices in a timely manner
• Managing and reconciling statements and daily monitoring of the transaction report to ensure all sales and refunds are captured
• Offering assistance and support to the sales department to ensure smooth running of sales ledger accounts.
• Ensuring month end statements are sent to all credit customers
• Monitoring credit accounts online with credit insurance policy
• Perform credit checks and due diligence for all new accounts
• Work closely with sales and customer services to resolve invoicing and account issues
• Credit card reconciliations

You must be a strong and confident communicator who enjoys working in a target driven, busy environment. You need to be used to working to tight deadlines and be able to multitask. You should also be a good IT user, specifically Excel.
