Job Description:

A global bank based in London, which offers excellent benefits, currently seeks a Credit Analyst with expertise in Project Finance transactions.

The successful candidate will be responsible for reporting to the Credit Risk division Deputy Head/Manager, completing all Credit Approval and Credit Management functions across their UK and Europe project finance energy and infrastructure portfolio.

You must have experience in UK and European project finance transactions to be eligible.

Key Responsibilities

• Minimise the Bank’s credit-related losses by identifying and reasonably measuring the credit risks and mitigants in proposals, reviews, etc.
• Make clear and unambiguous recommendations to the Credit Committee, in accordance with the Bank’s credit policies, regarding the acceptability of particular business deals from a credit perspective while maintaining an independent and objective view within the credit process.
• Effectively monitor, identify, and reasonably measure credit risk within the Bank’s asset portfolio.
• Provide credit evaluation reports for various credit products, offering an overview of transactions, financial and non-financial risk analysis, key risks identified, and associated mitigation strategies, as well as credit recommendations (including suggested credit enhancements and management conditions).
• Assist with the implementation of credit risk appetite, credit policies, procedures, and management processes once established, ensuring credit transactions comply with credit policies.
• This position primarily focuses on project finance business (Energy and Infrastructure deals) and may also cover other sectors' credit business based on proposals from the front office.
• You must have past experience as a Credit Analyst covering UK and European Project Finance transactions or similar deal types as part of a mixed portfolio from a Bank or Financial Institution.
• Advise on, deal (as principal or agent), and arrange (bring about) deals in and/or manage investments.
• Provide advice to clients in connection with corporate finance business and perform other related functions.
• Right to work in the UK, with previous experience gained working in the UK with either a Bank or Financial Institution.
