Job summary

STORMX RECRUITMENT LIMITED near Hitchin is seeking an Assistant Accountant to manage day-to-day finances for a group of creative and music-focused businesses. Hybrid working is available, with 3 days in the Whitwell office and occasional travel to London.

The role offers £32,000–£35,000 per annum in a permanent, full-time capacity. The ideal candidate may be studying AAT or ACCA (or QBE) and have some bookkeeping experience.

Qualifications

• Good academics, potentially studying AAT or ACCA/ QBE.
• Experience in bookkeeping or assistant accounting roles.
• Proficient with day-to-day accounting processes and software.

Responsibilities

• Managing day-to-day bookkeeping for a group of businesses.
• Handling accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations.
• Preparing VAT returns and payroll processing.
• Assisting with month-end processes and reporting.
• Liaising with clients and stakeholders, driving process improvements.
