Job summary

TimePlan Education Group is recruiting a Music Teacher for a PRU / Specialist Provision in Kidbrooke, South East London. You will plan, deliver and assess engaging music lessons for students aged 11-16 with SEND needs, building confidence and academic progress.

The role requires QTS or equivalent and experience teaching music at secondary level, with creativity, adaptability and a collaborative approach within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Holds QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Music at secondary level.
• Strong knowledge of music education and pedagogy.
• Able to adapt lessons for SEND, SEMH, ASC and ADHD.

Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess high-quality music lessons tailored to students.
• Differentiate lessons to meet a range of abilities and needs.
• Develop students' musical knowledge, creativity and confidence.
• Create an inclusive learning environment that encourages participation.
• Adapt teaching approaches for SEND, ASC, ADHD and SEMH needs.
• Assess progress, provide feedback and maintain records.
• Support students toward qualifications and personal progress.
• Collaborate with colleagues and follow safeguarding policies.
