Urban Outfitters in Milton Keynes is seeking a Display Artist to craft artistic, dynamic in-store environments that align with seasonal direction. You will collaborate with the Visual Merchandising Manager to translate inspiration into compelling floor sets, while maintaining high craftsmanship in windows and displays.

You will mentor store teams on display standards, manage materials, and help plan budgets to ensure cost-effective, engaging experiences for customers.

Qualifications

• Candidates must have a strong artistic background including a fine arts, design or architectural background.
• The use of power tools is an advantage.
• A completed professional portfolio should be submitted if applicable.
• Display Artist candidates must also possess: ability to develop creative ideas into working solutions.

Responsibilities

• Interpret Company direction to create artistic, visionary displays that drive sales.
• Use seasonal books to translate floor set inspiration to the store environment.
• Ensure high craftsmanship in windows and in-store displays.
• Seek outside inspiration and apply personal talent to contribute unique display concepts.
• Promote Urban philosophy by sharing skills and knowledge of contemporary art and culture with peers.
• Mentor retail teams on display expectations and materials management.
• Identify and develop team members to assist in display projects with VMM and store management.
• Lead daily meetings and communicate head office inspiration to the store team.
• Model integrity, fairness and professionalism in daily interactions and support development.
• Efficiently use display materials and keep areas organized and safe.
• Support sales by highlighting product appearance and customer lifestyle.
• Meet budgets and document expenses accurately.
• Collaborate with Visual Merchandising Manager to achieve stock loss goals.
• Prioritize and plan projects to safeguard customer experience.
