Urban Outfitters is seeking a Display Artist for our Stratford City, London store to set the standard for visual excellence. You’ll work with the Visual Merchandising Manager to craft displays that are creative, commercial and inspiring, while managing seasonal budgets and ensuring cost‑effective solutions.

You’ll lead and mentor store teams on display standards, source inspiration, and maintain craftsmanship across windows and in‑store setups, collaborating with Head Office to translate brand

Qualifications

• Strong artistic background in fine arts, design or architecture.
• Submit a professional portfolio if applicable.
• Ability to develop creative ideas into working solutions.
• Talent in artwork, painting, paper hanging and carpentry.
• Excellent construction craftsmanship and 3D work experience.
• Effective communication and strong organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Display and Merchandising: interpret directions to create artistic, visionary, unique displays that drive sales.
• Utilise seasonal books to translate floor set inspiration to the store, considering location and customer.
• Maintain high craftsmanship across windows and in-store displays.
• Seek outside inspiration and contribute unique perspectives to the display concept.
• People: mentor retail teams on display standards and materials management.
• Identify and develop team members for display projects and seasonal setups.
• Celebrate achievements and share credit for success.
• Leadership and Communication: attend daily meetings, share ideas with store team and Head Office.
• Model integrity, fairness and professional development in daily interactions.
• Collaborate with VM Manager and Store Manager for timely project execution.
• Managing the Environment: use materials efficiently, keep areas tidy and safe.
• Ensure safety standards and maintain display room and tool storage.
• Operations: support sales by highlighting product lifestyle and ensuring budgets and expense reporting.
• Plan projects to enhance the customer experience without disruption.
