Job summary

Compass Group UK&I, through its Defence sector ESS, is seeking an ambitious Chef for Defence contracts in the UK. The position is full-time, 37.5 hours per week, with shifts 5 days out of 7, and opportunities for progression within a market-leading food service group.

You will prepare high-quality meals, lead menu changes, and respond to client feedback while upholding hygiene and safety standards. A City & Guilds NVQ level of qualification and a Food Hygiene certificate are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Preparing delicious, high-quality food that delights clients and customers.
• Overseeing and implementing menu changes.
• Identifying opportunities to improve food services.
• Listening and acting on customer feedback to improve services.
• Supporting with creation of new menus and creative food concepts.
• Representing Defence and maintaining a positive brand image.
• Monitoring inventories to keep kitchens well-stocked.
• Overseeing kitchen cleaning to maintain hygiene standards.
• Complying with Food Handling, Hygiene and Health and Safety regulations.
