Job summary

BaxterStorey in Birmingham is hiring a Chef de Partie on a permanent, full‑time basis. Prepare and cook dishes to set recipes, manage your station, and support quality and teamwork in a busy kitchen.

You will work under the head/sous chef, contribute to menu development, and maintain hygiene standards while ensuring efficient service. We offer development opportunities and a positive, inclusive culture.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working as a Commis Chef or similar role.
• Knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines.
• Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Food Preparation – prepare and cook dishes according to recipes and standards.
• Station Management – oversee production and keep area stocked and clean.
• Quality Control – maintain high quality, presentation and taste.
• Team Collaboration – communicate with team and assist colleagues.
• Menu Development – collaborate with head chef on new recipes.
• Cleaning and Maintenance – keep area clean and equipment in order.
