Advinia Healthcare seeks a Chef at Bedford Care Home to lead daily kitchen operations and deliver high-quality meals for Residents, staff and visitors. You’ll manage menus, costings, and events, while upholding food safety standards and HACCP records.

Qualifications

• GCSE English or equivalent.
• Basic Food Hygiene (essential).
• Intermediate Food Hygiene (desirable).
• Menu planning, costing, ordering, stock control and budget experience.
• Previous experience in a similar environment.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day running of the kitchen.
• Maintain food storage procedures and stock rotation.
• Prepare, plan and cook meals to high standard with dietary requirements.
• Serve Residents, Staff and Visitors professionally.
• Prepare foods for events and costings through control procedures.
• Adhere to Safer Food Better Business and HACCP records.
• Take full shift responsibility for catering operations.
• Help create new menus and maintain records.
