Job summary

Avon Search in Worthing is seeking an experienced Care Home Chef to join a luxury residential care home serving up to 37 residents. You will prepare fresh, nutritious meals, cater to dietary needs, and work with the care team to provide a pleasant dining experience. A Food Hygiene Certificate Level 2+ is desirable; standard kitchen hygiene and HACCP compliance are essential.

Qualifications

Experience as a Chef.
Knowledge of food hygiene regulations.
Food Hygiene Certificate Level 2 or above desirable.
Experience in a care/healthcare setting advantageous.
Well organized and reliable.
Passionate about high-quality, nutritious meals.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook fresh, nutritious, home-cooked meals for up to 37 residents.
Cater for individual dietary requirements, allergies and texture-modified meals where required.
Prepare varied and balanced menus that reflect residents’ preferences.
Maintain excellent standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and kitchen safety.
Monitor stock levels, rotate food supplies and assist with ordering provisions.
Ensure compliance with Food Safety and HACCP procedures.
Work closely with the care team to understand residents’ dietary needs and preferences.
Help create an enjoyable and positive dining experience for residents.
