Job summary

Meallmore in Inverness is seeking an Activities Coordinator to plan, coordinate and lead creative activity programmes for residents, helping them stay engaged and supported. The role is 37.5 hours per week with a competitive benefits package and overtime rates.

You will work with the care team to deliver diverse activities, including arts and crafts, music, exercise classes, outings and community events, while building strong relationships with residents, families and staff.

Qualifications

• Experience of working in a care setting is desirable but not essential.
• Excellent communication skills with a range of stakeholders.
• Strong planning and organisational abilities; flexible approach.
• Good IT skills and familiarity with social media platforms.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage engaging activity programmes tailored to residents’ abilities and preferences.
• Represent Meallmore with the local community and collaborate with families, colleagues and stakeholders.
• Coordinate and lead group activities (arts/crafts, games, music, exercise, outings, social events).
• Work with the care team to involve them in delivering activities and events.
• Source and manage external entertainers or volunteers from the local community.
• Maintain accurate records of resident participation and activity feedback.
