Job summary

Harrier Grange Care Home in Hampshire is seeking an Activities Coordinator to plan and deliver engaging activities that promote wellbeing and social interaction for residents, including those living with dementia.

You will create a varied programme, build relationships with residents, and work as part of a supportive team. Training and development are provided, with a 36-hour week and a 12.71/hour rate.

Qualifications

• Creative, organised and enthusiastic approach.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging activities.
• Genuine interest in supporting older people.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Transferable skills from hospitality, events, childcare or community work encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver a varied programme of group and one-to-one activities.
• Tailor activities to individual interests, abilities and care needs.
• Build relationships to understand preferences and enable inclusive participation.
• Work with the wider team to create a positive, stimulating environment.
• Contribute to wellbeing, independence and social interaction for residents.
• Support training and development for the role as needed.
