Job summary

Agincare is seeking an Activities Coordinator at Sedgemoor Care Home in Weston-super-Mare to plan and lead engaging activities, games and events that bring joy to residents, using energy and creativity to craft meaningful moments.

The role is 21 hours per week, includes alternate weekends, with shifts from 10:00 to 16:00. Right to work in the UK is required; care or dementia experience is welcomed, and funded training up to QCF Level 5 is available.

Qualifications

• Right to work in the UK for at least 12 months.
• Availability to work 21 hours per week, including alternate weekends.
• Shift patterns: 10:00 to 16:00, two-week rolling rota (18 hours then 24 hours).
• Experience in care or with dementia is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead engaging activities, games, crafts and social events for residents.
• Organise celebrations, outings and entertainment to create joyful moments.
• Encourage movement, independence and social engagement among residents.
