Driver Hire Exeter is recruiting an experienced Crane Engineer to join a growing team. The role involves servicing, maintaining and repairing cranes and lifting equipment, diagnosing faults, and ensuring safety compliance.

Ideal candidates hold NVQ 3 or equivalent, CPCS/ALLMI/LEEA/IPAF, and a valid UK driving licence. The position offers a permanent, long-term career with overtime opportunities and a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as Crane Engineer or similar lifting equipment role.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing faults on cranes or lifting equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and service manuals.
• Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to work safely under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsabilités

• Carry out routine servicing, maintenance and repairs on cranes and lifting equipment.
• Diagnose and repair faults in mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic systems.
• Conduct safety inspections and checks per regulations.
• Respond to breakdowns and provide fault-finding solutions.
• Complete service reports and maintenance documentation.
• Ensure work complies with health and safety regulations.
• Install, test and commission new lifting equipment when required.
• Provide technical advice and guidance to clients.
• Maintain high workmanship and professionalism.
• Work independently and as part of a team.
