Job summary

AWD Online is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to take ownership of planned and reactive maintenance for high-bay cranes and conveyors at a Birmingham site. You will handle mechanical work, electrical repairs, and system upgrades, while keeping PPMs up to date and supporting warehouse operations.

The role requires strong fault-finding, mechanical and electrical knowledge, and the ability to prioritise workloads.

Qualifications

• Proven electrical and mechanical maintenance experience
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostics skills
• Ability to plan, prioritise and work under pressure to deadlines
• Good computer literacy and familiarity with warehouse systems
• Experience with high-bay cranes or ASRS is desirable
• Willingness to work at height and in a warehouse environment

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and overhaul high-bay cranes and conveyor systems
• Respond to breakdowns within SLAs and restore operation promptly
• Carry out electrical repairs, installations and equipment upgrades
• Program inverters and control systems as required
• Maintain accurate PPM records and report on maintenance activity
• Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to minimise downtime
