Job summary

Proactive Global is hiring a Resident Site Engineer for a fully automated warehouse in the UK. You will maintain and fault-find on conveyors, cranes, lifters, monorails and wrap systems, with a strong electrical or mechanical bias.

You’ll perform PPM, diagnose faults, and fault-find to I/O level using PLCs, reading drawings and recording activity. Benefits include private healthcare, pension, and cycle-to-work schemes.

Qualifications

• Electrical or mechanical bias with multi-skilled maintenance experience.
• NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds or equivalent required.
• Time-served engineering apprenticeship preferred.
• Experience with automated systems and conveyors/cranes/wrappers.
• Good reading of mechanical/electrical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance, repair and support of automated material handling equipment.
• Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs.
• Diagnose and prioritise system faults; fault-finding on PLC/I/O levels.
• Read and work from mechanical, electrical and electronic drawings.
• Record maintenance activity accurately and manage on-site spares.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives; ensure high safety standards.
• Collaborate with customers, colleagues and stakeholders.
