British Steel is seeking an Electrical Craft Team Member (Days) for the central cranes team at Scunthorpe. The role focuses on electrical maintenance, fault finding, and ensuring plant availability, quality, and safety in manufacturing and workshop areas.
Ideal candidates hold NVQ Level 3 or equivalent and have hands-on experience with electrical systems in heavy engineering. Training and career progression are provided within a structured plan.

Location: Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire, DN16 1BP
We’re looking for an Electrical Team Member on days (Mon to Fri) to support the central crane team within both the manufacturing and workshop areas on the Scunthorpe site. You will work to achieve plant operational availability, product quality, customer service and health and safety objectives.
As part of a multi-disciplined team, you will ensure the most effective engineering service is provided to our manufacturing customers.
Using your skills to achieve business objectives, you will react to engineering, quality and safety issues as they arise and utilise your knowledge, experience and skill to initiate corrective actions.
The role will see you record details of your work activities, using the appropriate information systems.

You must be qualified to a minimum NVQ Level 3, or equivalent in a relevant electrical trade or have served a recognised apprenticeship*
You will have experience of electrical maintenance and fault finding within a commercial or heavy engineering environment, essential to the role is the ability to work at heights and be able to adapt new equipment. You must be flexible, have a desire to learn and develop.
