British Steel in Scunthorpe is seeking a Central Cranes Team Member, Electrical Craft – Days, to support the central crane team across manufacturing and workshop areas, ensuring plant availability, product quality and safety.
The role requires NVQ Level 3 in electrical trades or equivalent, plus experience in electrical maintenance and fault finding; the ability to work at heights is essential. Training and development are provided to progress within the team.

Salary package: £41,617.78
Location: Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire, DN16 1BP
We’re looking for an Electrical Team Member on days (Mon to Fri) to support the central crane team within both the manufacturing and workshop areas on the Scunthorpe site. You will work to achieve plant operational availability, product quality, customer service and health and safety objectives.
As part of a multi-disciplined team, you will ensure the most effective engineering service is provided to our manufacturing customers.
Using your skills to achieve business objectives, you will react to engineering, quality and safety issues as they arise and utilise your knowledge, experience and skill to initiate corrective actions.
The role will see you record details of your work activities, using the appropriate information systems.

You must be qualified to a minimum NVQ Level 3, or equivalent in a relevant electrical trade or have served a recognised apprenticeship*
You will have experience of electrical maintenance and fault finding within a commercial orheavy engineering environment, essential to the role is the ability to work at heights and be able to adapt new equipment. You must be flexible, have a desire to learn and develop.
