Job summary

Waterloo Tap is looking for a hands-on Bar Supervisor to lead shifts and keep service moving quickly at our craft beer venue beside Waterloo station. You will oversee the floor, support the team, and model high standards of service.

Responsibilities include guiding staff during peak periods, handling opening/closing routines, cellar tasks, stock rotation, and maintaining hygiene and safety behind the bar. This role offers growth into management opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising or leading a bar team in a high-volume venue.
• Strong knowledge of craft beer, cask ale, and draft line care.
• Calm, organized leadership under pressure.
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead busy shifts on the floor to maintain fast, friendly service.
• Support and guide bar staff by example during peak trade.
• Manage opening/closing procedures and basic venue checks.
• Assist with cellar management, line changes, and stock rotation.
• Maintain clean, hygienic, and safe working conditions behind the bar.
