NHS Jobs seeks a Compliance & Governance Officer to lead regulatory and organisational compliance with a focus on CQC readiness. The role oversees the QCS portal, ensuring policies and procedures align with current legislation and regulatory standards across all services.

You will monitor compliance, prepare regular reports for the CEO and Board, and drive improvements through audit outcomes and SMART action plans. A strong knowledge of governance and risk management is essential.

Responsibilities

• Regulatory & Organisational Compliance Lead on CQC compliance, ensuring the organisation is fully prepared for inspections.
• Maintain and oversee the QCS portal, ensuring it remains up to date and reflective of current requirements.
• Develop, review, and implement organisational policies and procedures in line with legislation and regulatory frameworks.
• Monitor compliance across services and departments, ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, and contractual obligations.
• Prepare compliance reports and updates for the CEO, Board, and subcommittees.
• Develop SMART action plans based on audit and review findings to drive company-wide continuous improvement.
• Undertake Quality and Compliance Audits in line with regulatory, contractual and company requirements.
• Support Managers and staff with local authority, CQC, quality monitoring visits and returns as directed.
