Danny Sullivan Group is recruiting a CPCS Slinger Signaller for long-term work at RAF Brize Norton. You will ensure safe lifting operations on a major MOD infrastructure project with ongoing work through 2026 and beyond.

The role requires a valid CPCS Slinger Signaller card, experience on construction sites, and the ability to work within a busy team on a secure site; weekly pay and long-term opportunities are provided.

Responsibilities

• Safely sling and signal loads for lifting operations
• Direct crane and lifting operations using signalling procedures
• Inspect lifting accessories and equipment

• Assist with movement of materials around site
• Carry out pre-use checks on lifting gear
• Report damaged equipment and follow site procedures
• Maintain a safe, clean and organised work area

CPCS Slinger Signaller - £18.75 per hour PAYE

Long-Term Opportunity at RAF Brize Norton

Danny Sullivan Group is currently recruiting for an experienced CPCS Slinger Signaller to join major, long-term construction and infrastructure projects at RAF Brize Norton.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on nationally significant Ministry of Defence infrastructure projects, with ongoing work expected throughout 2026 and beyond.

Projects include the £9 billion Ministry of Defence housing strategy, delivering 265 new-build military family homes, alongside major airfield resurfacing and infrastructure upgrades designed to modernise critical facilities at the UK's largest RAF station.

Working Pattern

7 days on / 2 days off or 12 days on / 2 days off

Pay Rates - PAYE

• £18.75 per hour PAYE - Standard Rate
• £23.44 per hour PAYE - Overtime after 10 hours
• £24.94 per hour PAYE - Night Rate (7pm-7am)
• £28.13 per hour PAYE - Weekend Rate

Your Role as a CPCS Slinger Signaller

As a Slinger Signaller, you will play a key role in the safe lifting and movement of materials, plant and equipment across the construction site.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Safely slinging and signalling loads for lifting operations
• Directing crane and lifting operations using recognised signalling procedures
• Selecting and inspecting appropriate lifting accessories and equipment
• Communicating clearly with crane operators and site teams
• Guiding loads safely into position
• Maintaining safe exclusion zones around lifting operations
• Assisting with the movement of materials and equipment around site
• Carrying out appropriate pre-use checks of lifting accessories
• Reporting damaged or defective lifting equipment immediately
• Following lifting plans, method statements and site procedures
• Maintaining a safe, clean and organised working environment
• Reporting hazards, unsafe conditions and near misses immediately
• Following all site, health & safety and MOD procedures at all times

What We're Looking For

To be considered for this role, you should have:

• A valid CPCS Slinger Signaller card
• Previous experience working as a Slinger Signaller on a construction or civil engineering site
• Good knowledge of safe lifting and signalling procedures
• Experience working around cranes, heavy plant and lifting operations
• Good understanding of lifting accessories and their safe use
• A reliable, punctual and hardworking attitude
• The ability to work effectively as part of a busy site team
• Previous experience on large construction, infrastructure or civil engineering projects is advantageous
