Job summary

Danny Sullivan Group is recruiting for an experienced CPCS Telehandler to join long-term construction and infrastructure projects at RAF Brize Norton. The role involves moving materials around site, and adherence to site safety and MOD procedures on a major UK facility.

The position offers long-term work with weekly pay, overtime and night rates; you will operate on MOD sites and contribute to nationally significant projects.

Qualifications

• Valid CPCS Telehandler card and previous site experience.
• Good understanding of safe plant operation and site procedures.
• Experience working around heavy plant, HGVs and construction machinery.

Responsibilities

• Operate a telehandler safely and efficiently across the construction site.
• Load, unload and transport materials around site.
• Safely position materials and equipment as required.
• Carry out daily pre-start checks and report defects.
• Operate the machine in accordance with site rules and manufacturers' guidance.
• Work safely around pedestrians, plant and other site operations.
• Assist with deliveries and material movements.
• Maintain clear communication with banksmen, slinger signallers and site teams.
• Follow lifting plans and site traffic management procedures.
• Maintain a safe and organised working environment.
• Report hazards, unsafe conditions and near misses immediately.
• Support the wider site team when required.
• Follow all site, health & safety and MOD procedures at all times.

CPCS Telehandler - £18.47 per hour PAYE

Long-Term Opportunity at RAF Brize Norton

Danny Sullivan Group is currently recruiting for an experienced CPCS Telehandler to join major, long-term construction and infrastructure projects at RAF Brize Norton.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on nationally significant Ministry of Defence infrastructure projects, with ongoing work expected throughout 2026 and beyond.

Projects include the £9 billion Ministry of Defence housing strategy, delivering 265 new-build military family homes, alongside major airfield resurfacing and infrastructure upgrades designed to modernise critical facilities at the UK's largest RAF station.

Working Pattern

7 days on / 2 days off or 12 days on / 2 days off

Pay Rates - PAYE

• £18.47 per hour PAYE - Standard Rate
• £23.09 per hour PAYE - Overtime after 10 hours
• £24.57 per hour PAYE - Night Rate (7pm-7am)
• £27.71 per hour PAYE - Weekend Rate
• Weekly pay

Your Role as a CPCS Telehandler

As a Telehandler, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials, equipment and loads around the construction site.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Operating a telehandler safely and efficiently across the construction site
• Loading, unloading and transporting materials around site
• Safely positioning materials and equipment as required
• Carrying out daily pre-start checks and reporting defects
• Operating the machine in accordance with site rules and manufacturers' guidance
• Working safely around pedestrians, plant and other site operations
• Assisting with deliveries and material movements
• Maintaining clear communication with banksmen, slinger signallers and site teams
• Following lifting plans and site traffic management procedures where applicable
• Maintaining a safe and organised working environment
• Reporting hazards, unsafe conditions and near misses immediately
• Supporting the wider site team when required
• Following all site, health & safety and MOD procedures at all times

What We're Looking For

To be considered for this role, you should have:

• A valid CPCS Telehandler card
• Previous experience operating a Telehandler on a construction or civil engineering site
• Good understanding of safe plant operation and site procedures
• Experience working around heavy plant, HGVs and construction machinery
• Good awareness of pedestrian and vehicle safety
• Strong understanding of site health & safety procedures
• Good communication skills
• A reliable, punctual and hardworking attitude
• The ability to work effectively as part of a busy site team
• Previous experience on large construction, infrastructure or civil engineering projects is advantageous
