Job summary

Aspire People are recruiting Cover Teachers to work across a range of primary and secondary schools in various locations. You will deliver pre-planned lessons, maintain a positive learning environment and keep pupils engaged in the absence of their usual teacher.

As a Cover Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering pre-planned lessons, maintaining a positive learning environment, and ensuring that pupils remain engaged and on task in the absence of their usual class teacher. To join Aspire People and be successful in this Cover Teacher role, you will need to:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification relevant to the role.
• Have experience teaching in a school environment and be confident delivering lessons across a range of subjects and year groups, where appropriate.
• Have a passion for teaching and supporting pupils' learning and development.
• Be confident managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
• Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and other professionals.
• Be flexible, reliable, and adaptable when working across different schools and responding to varying classroom needs.
• Have a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
