Job summary

Aspire People is recruiting Cover Teachers to work across a range of primary and secondary schools in various locations in Central England. Roles include short-term and day-to-day cover with the potential for ongoing assignments to fit your availability and preferences.

You will deliver pre-planned lessons, maintain a positive learning environment, and ensure pupils stay engaged in the absence of their class teacher.

Qualifications

• Hold QTS or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching in a school environment and delivering lessons across subjects and year groups.
• Passion for teaching and supporting pupils' learning and development.
• Be confident managing classroom behaviour and maintaining an inclusive learning environment.
• Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills with pupils and staff.
• Be flexible, reliable and adaptable across different schools.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects.
• Maintain a positive learning environment and keep pupils engaged when the usual teacher is absent.
• Adapt quickly to different schools, year groups, and class dynamics.
• Collaborate with school staff to ensure smooth lesson delivery and pupil support.
