Job summary

Aspire People are recruiting enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors to work across Wolverhampton schools, with roles available for daily emergency cover and long-term placements.

As a Cover Supervisor you will deliver pre-set work, manage behaviour, support pupils including 1:1 SEND assistance, and work with staff to ensure continuity of learning. Applicants should have a degree, at least six months in a school, strong classroom management, and the ability to adapt to different year groups.

Qualifications

Aspire People are currently recruiting enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors to work across schools in the Wolverhampton area.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about education and looking to gain varied experience within local secondary schools. Roles are available for both daily emergency cover and long-term placements, offering flexibility and consistent work.

The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for:

• Delivering pre-set work to classes in the absence of the teacher
• Managing classroom behaviour effectively and maintaining a positive learning environment
• Supporting pupils to stay engaged and on task
• Providing 1:1 support for pupils with SEND needs where required
• Working collaboratively with school staff to ensure continuity of learning
• Adapting quickly to different school settings and year groups

What We Are Looking For

Applicants must have:

• A minimum of 6 months' experience working in a school setting
• A degree (essential requirement)
• Strong classroom management skills
• Experience delivering planned lessons
• Confidence supporting pupils with SEND, including 1:1 support
