Job summary

Haybridge High School is seeking a Cover Supervisor to work across the school, supervising classes during short-term teaching absence and supporting the Cover team. The role is permanent, 37 hours per week, term-time only plus school training days, with salary scale SC5 (12-17) (actual £25,409-£27,563).

The successful candidate will have NVQ level 3 or equivalent, Level 2 in English and maths, and strong IT, numeracy and literacy skills.

Qualifications

• NVQ level 3 or above qualification appropriate to the post or relevant experience.
• Level 2 in English and maths or evidence of working at this level.
• Very good IT, numeracy and literacy skills.
• Willingness to undertake further professional development.
• Previous experience of working in a classroom environment with students.

Responsibilities

• Supervise whole classes during short-term absence of teachers.
• Work under guidance of teaching/senior staff with individuals/groups.
• Support the Lead cover supervisor with daily setting of cover and liaising with supply agencies and HR team.
