TeacherActive Limited is seeking an experienced Cover Supervisor for a mainstream secondary school in Telford. The role involves supervising classes, delivering pre-planned work, and using IT tools to support lesson delivery across the secondary age range.

You will be flexible, reliable and proactive, with strong behaviour management and communication skills. Salary is paid daily (£110–£150) with PAYE, and opportunities for CPD and ongoing support from a dedicated consultant team.

Qualifications

• Experience in a secondary school setting as a Cover Supervisor or similar classroom role
• Proven ability to manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment
• Strong IT skills and confidence using school systems, interactive whiteboards and digital learning resources
• Ability to deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of secondary subjects
• Excellent classroom management, communication and organisational skills
• Flexible, reliable and proactive approach to handle challenging situations

Salary: £110 - £150 per day

Do you have excellent IT skills and the confidence to use technology effectively in a secondary school classroom?

Are you adaptable, reliable and able to confidently manage challenging behaviour while keeping students engaged with their learning?

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream Secondary School based in Telford. The school provides a supportive learning environment with a focus on maintaining high expectations, promoting positive behaviour and encouraging students to engage with their education.

The school is looking for an experienced Cover Supervisor for long-term placements, with flexible day-to-day work also available. The successful Cover Supervisor will supervise classes across the secondary age range, deliver pre-planned work, confidently manage classroom behaviour and use their strong IT skills to support lesson delivery and ensure students remain focused and engaged.

The successful Cover Supervisor will have:

• Previous experience working as a Cover Supervisor or in a similar classroom-based role within a secondary school
• Proven experience managing classroom behaviour effectively and maintaining a positive learning environment
• Strong IT skills, including confidence using school systems, interactive whiteboards and digital learning resources
• Confidence delivering pre-planned lessons across a range of secondary subjects
• Excellent classroom management, communication and organisational skills
• A flexible, reliable and proactive approach, with the ability to manage challenging situations confidently
