Job description

Principal Resourcing is actively recruiting Cover Supervisors to meet the demand for day-to-day and long-term supply in our partner academies based in Wakefield, West Yorkshire.

Role Overview

Cover Supervisors are required to deliver a variety of subjects across KS3 and KS4 curricula in the absence of teachers. You will manage a class of approximately 25-30 students, supervising pre-planned lessons and activities.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will support students' learning and development with strong behaviour management skills and a passion for education. Flexibility, enthusiasm, and a friendly approach are essential, along with the ability to collaborate effectively within a high-quality staff team. Most cover is provided on an ad-hoc basis to meet school needs.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 GCSEs, including Maths and English at Grade C or above
• Confidence in supporting student progress and behaviour
• Previous experience working with children or young adults is preferable but not essential
• Full training will be provided
• Current DBS registered with the update service or a DBS completed through Principal Resourcing

Compensation

Pay rates can be up to £100 per day, depending on experience and role requirements. We guarantee to beat your current daily rate if you are already working on supply.
