Job summary

Milk Education in Leeds and Wakefield is seeking a Cover Supervisor to support secondary schools with pre-planned lessons for students aged 11-18. You will help maintain a positive learning environment while gaining invaluable classroom experience ahead of PGCE or teacher training.

The role offers daily pay and regular hours, with ongoing guidance from experienced consultants and opportunities to progress into long-term roles within education.

Qualifications

• Graduates or aspiring teachers, sports coaches, youth workers or experienced Cover Supervisors.
• Excellent communication and motivational skills.
• Calm, adaptable and resilient with strong classroom management.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects in the teacher's absence.
• Manage classroom behaviour to create a positive and productive learning environment.
• Support students to stay engaged and focused throughout lessons.
• Build positive relationships with students and staff across the school.

Join secondary schools across Leeds and Wakefield, supporting students aged 11-18 by delivering pre-planned lessons across a variety of subjects. You'll play a key role in maintaining a positive learning environment while gaining invaluable experience working alongside experienced teaching staff.

What you'll do:

• Deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects in the teacher's absence.

• Support students to remain engaged and focused throughout lessons.
• Build positive relationships with students and staff across the school.
• Provide feedback to teaching staff on student engagement and lesson progress.

Who we're looking for:

• Confident, enthusiastic individuals who enjoy working with young people.
• Graduates, aspiring teachers, sports coaches, youth workers, tutors, or experienced Cover Supervisors.
• Strong communicators who can engage and motivate students.
• Calm, adaptable and resilient, with excellent classroom management skills.
• Previous experience working with young people is beneficial but not essential.

• Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm
