Job summary

Milk Education is seeking a Cover Teacher to work across secondary schools in Leeds and Wakefield. You will deliver pre-planned lessons, adapt to different classes and maintain a positive learning environment.

Ideal candidates are QTS or ECTs, capable of building quick relationships with students and staff, and flexible to work across multiple subjects and settings.

The role also offers regular hours, ongoing consultant support, and opportunities for long-term placements and leadership paths.

Join secondary schools across Leeds and Wakefield, delivering engaging lessons to students aged 11–18 across a range of subjects. You'll play a vital role in maintaining continuity of learning while gaining experience in a variety of school settings.

What you'll do:

• Deliver engaging pre-planned lessons in the absence of the classroom teacher.
• Create a positive and productive learning environment where students can thrive.
• Adapt your teaching style to meet the needs of different classes and abilities.
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies and expectations.
• Provide feedback to school staff on student engagement and lesson outcomes.

• Qualified Teachers with QTS or ECTs looking to gain valuable classroom experience.

What this role offers:

• Pay: £162.31 – £223.62 per day (dependent on experience)
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 3:30 pm
