Job summary

Academics is partnering with a supportive secondary school in North Staffordshire to recruit a full-time Cover Supervisor for an immediate start. You will help maintain continuity in students' learning when teachers are absent and work on a temp-to-perm basis.

As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll supervise classes, uphold a positive learning environment and support students with their learning. This role offers a pathway into permanent roles and access to multiple Staffordshire schools.

Qualifications

• Confident, professional classroom presence.
• Ability to manage behaviour effectively and build relationships with young people.
• At least two months UK-based experience with young people (schools, tutoring, coaching, youth work, mentoring).
• Reliable, adaptable and comfortable across subjects and year groups.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Passionate about supporting young people's education and development.

Responsibilities

• Supervising classes across a range of subjects using pre-prepared lesson materials.

Do you have previous experience leading a classroom? Are you confident and passionate about supporting young people in their learning?

Academics, a leading education recruitment agency based in Stoke-on-Trent, is working in partnership with a supportive secondary school in North Staffordshire to recruit a full-time Cover Supervisor for an immediate start.

This is a fantastic temp-to-perm opportunity. The successful candidate will initially work on a temporary basis, with the view of securing a permanent position within the school for the right fit.

The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you'll play an important role in maintaining continuity in students' learning when their usual teacher is absent.
