Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking an experienced Cover Supervisor to manage classes in a UK secondary setting across Salisbury and South Wiltshire. You will take control calmly, deliver work set by the class teacher, and keep pupils focused to maintain productive lessons.

The role offers flexible day-to-day work with options for short-term to longer-term placements, with a dedicated consultant and market-leading pay. Travel within the South Wiltshire area is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising classes in a UK secondary school or similar setting.
• Strong behaviour management and the confidence to manage whole classes.
• Excellent communication, reliability and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Set expectations from the outset and deliver work left by the class teacher.
• Keep pupils focused and ensure the lesson remains productive.
• Follow lesson plans and instructions across a range of subjects.
• Be flexible to travel to schools within the South Wiltshire area.
