Job summary

Hays Education in Doncaster is seeking Cover Supervisors to supervise secondary classes aged 11-16 and deliver pre-planned materials. You will help maintain a calm and productive learning environment across Doncaster primary and secondary schools.

Role offers flexible day-to-day assignments with opportunities across Doncaster secondary schools and potential routes into teaching or wider education careers.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people aged 11-16.
• Strong communication and classroom management skills.
• Flexible, reliable and proactive approach.

Responsibilities

• Supervising whole classes when the usual teacher is absent.
• Delivering pre-planned lesson materials with no planning or marking required.
• Managing classes of secondary students aged 11-16.
• Keeping students focused, engaged, and on task throughout the lesson.
• Creating a calm, positive, and productive learning environment.
• Following school behaviour policies and feeding back to staff where needed.
