Qualifications

• Experience working with young people aged 11-16.

• Previous school-based experience, such as teaching assistant or classroom support work.
• Strong communication and group management skills.
• Flexible, reliable, proactive approach.

Responsibilities

• Supervising whole classes when the usual teacher is absent.
• Delivering pre-planned lesson materials, with no planning or marking required.
• Managing classes of secondary students aged 11-16.
• Keeping students focused, engaged, and on task throughout the lesson.
• Creating a calm, positive, and productive learning environment.
• Following school behaviour policies and feeding back to staff where needed.
