Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking experienced Cover Supervisors to support secondary schools across Doncaster. This role offers flexible day-to-day work, long-term placements, and opportunities to gain further experience in education, tailored to your availability and career goals.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise classes in the absence of the usual teacher, ensuring students stay focused and complete work.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people in a school, college or educational setting.
• Experience leading or managing a classroom.
• Strong behaviour management skills.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• A confident, calm and professional approach.

Responsibilities

• Supervising pupils across KS3 and KS4.
• Delivering pre-prepared lessons and ensuring students complete set work.
• Managing classroom behaviour confidently and consistently.
• Maintaining a positive and purposeful learning environment.
• Supporting pupils with their learning where appropriate.
• Following school policies and safeguarding procedures.
• Providing feedback to relevant staff where required.
