Job summary

Vision for Education is recruiting enthusiastic graduates to work as Cover Supervisors in Bridlington and surrounding areas. You will supervise students aged 11-16, deliver pre-prepared work, and help maintain a calm, productive classroom environment while gaining valuable experience for teaching or education careers.

Competitive daily rates (£90-£120) paid weekly; flexible full-time, part-time and casual contracts; extensive training and support through a dedicated consultant are provided.

Qualifications

• Have a degree or be working towards completing a degree.
• Demonstrate enthusiasm for working with young people.
• Be confident supervising students aged 11-16.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to establish clear boundaries and manage behaviour effectively.
• Flexible, dependable and professional in approach.
• Experience with children or young people is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Supervise classes of secondary students during teacher absence.
• Deliver work prepared in advance and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Encourage task completion and high behaviour standards.
• Provide support to students throughout the lesson.
• Communicate effectively with teaching and pastoral staff.
• Give feedback to the teacher following each lesson.
• Create a calm, productive classroom environment.
