About the Role:

As a Cover Supervisor (CS), you will oversee classroom activities during teacher absences, ensuring pupils remain engaged and on-task with the pre-set work. This is an ideal position for those looking to step into teaching or seeking a more balanced work-life routine.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and manage classroom behaviour.
• Supervise pupils during learning activities and maintain a positive environment.
• Provide feedback to teaching staff regarding pupil performance and classroom behaviour.
• Uphold safeguarding practices and promote the school’s behaviour policy.
• Ensure continuity of learning in the absence of the regular class teacher.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working in a school environment or with children is preferred.
• A degree or equivalent is desirable, though not essential.
• Ability to confidently manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
• Clear verbal and written communication with both pupils and staff.
• Flexible and proactive, with the ability to respond to varying classroom dynamics.
• Ideal for Graduates and University Students.
• Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
