Job Title: Full-time Cover Supervisor (CS)

Full-time Cover Supervisor - Fareham, Hampshire

Are you looking to gain valuable classroom experience in a secondary school setting?

If so, GSL Education are seeking an enthusiastic and adaptable Full-time Cover Supervisor (CS) to join an innovative secondary school in Fareham, Hampshire starting after Easter or May half-term. The role offers a competitive salary ranging from £95 to £110 per day, depending on experience and qualifications.

About the Role:

As a Full-time Cover Supervisor (CS), you will deliver pre-planned lessons and ensure that students remain engaged and on-task in the absence of their regular teacher. This is an ideal opportunity to build confidence in classroom management while exploring a potential career in teaching.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and engage students, ensuring they stay on task.
• Encourage positive behaviour and uphold school policies.
• Support students’ learning, providing guidance where necessary.
• Complete light marking tasks as required—no additional planning or workload at home.
• Work flexibly, choosing the days that suit you.

Job Requirements: To be successful in this role, you should have:

• Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor or working with young people in an educational setting.
• Strong classroom management skills and the confidence to lead a class independently.
• A proactive and adaptable approach, ready to work in different subject areas.
• A genuine passion for education and supporting student development.
• Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
