Hednesford Valley High is seeking a committed Cover Supervisor to join our team. You will supervise classes during short-term absences, ensuring learning continues in a positive, safe environment, working with teachers and support staff.

You will support pupils to engage with their learning and maintain high expectations for behaviour and wellbeing, contributing to our inclusive school community. A clean driving licence and willingness to train as a Mini-bus driver are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people in education or similar setting.
• Commitment to inclusion and supporting students with additional needs.
• Good literacy, numeracy and ICT skills.
• Willingness to train as a Mini-bus driver.

Responsabilités

• Supervise whole classes during short-term absence of teachers, delivering work set by staff.
• Support students to engage with their learning and achieve targets.
• Promote a calm, inclusive learning environment.
• Manage student behaviour per school policies.
• Support implementation of IEPs and personalised learning strategies.
• Build positive relationships with students and staff.
• Provide feedback to teaching staff on participation, progress and behaviour.
• Complete attendance and reward tracking.
• Use ICT and learning resources to support lessons.
• Respond effectively to emergencies following school procedures.
