Job summary

Tonbridge Grammar School in Tonbridge is seeking a capable Cover Supervisor to join our dedicated cover team. This permanent role is part-time, working 2 days a week (Thursday and Friday) during term time, to keep learning progressing when teachers are absent.

You will supervise lessons, support students individually or in small groups, and assist with exams, admin tasks and welfare duties. Strong communication and organisational skills are essential.

We are seeking an efficient, well-organised and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join our committed and hard-working cover team. This is a permanent role working 2 days a week (Thursday and Friday), term time only.

Join our friendly Cover Team

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting students' learning by supervising lessons in the absence of teaching staff. Working closely with colleagues across the school, you will help ensure that learning continues productively and that high standards of behaviour, engagement and achievement are maintained.

In addition to supervising whole classes, the role may include:

• Supporting individual students and small groups with their learning
• Assisting with the administration and invigilation of internal and external examinations
• Undertaking supervisory duties as required
• Providing administrative support to curriculum departments
• Carrying out other reasonable duties commensurate with the role, as directed by the Line Manager

This position would suit a confident and adaptable individual with excellent communication and organisational skills, who is committed to supporting students to achieve their full potential.
