Job summary

The Polesworth School is seeking a Cover Supervisor to join our caring and professional team. You will supervise classes during short-term teacher absences, implement set work, manage pupil behaviour and support pupils according to school policies.

The role is 32.5 hours per week, term time only (39 weeks), Monday to Friday, 8.15 am to 3.15 pm. The post is Grade F, points 6-11 with salary £19,810 - £21,451 per annum, with pay award pending; applicants are expected to uphold safeguarding

We are seeking to appoint a Cover Supervisor to join us as soon as possible. The postholder will, under an agreed system of supervision, supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of the class teacher. Under the guidance of teaching/senior staff, they will implement work programmes, manage pupil behaviour and assist pupils in relevant activities in lien with the school’s policies and procedures.
