Tiverton High School serves the beautiful and historic market town of Tiverton in mid Devon and is within easy commuting distance to the regional centers of Exeter and Taunton. We can be found just off junction 27 of the M5. We are within easy reach of areas of outstanding national beauty such as the Blackdown Hills, Dartmoor, Exmoor and close to the lovely Devon coastline.

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Cover Supervisor who will oversee lessons for teachers who are temporarily absent and support teaching and learning across the school. We will consider applications from any candidates wishing to work on a full or part-time basis.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising work that has been pre-set in accordance with the schools’ guidelines, and ensuring that students carry out this work to the best of their abilities.

You will manage the behaviour of students whilst they undertake their work and ensure a constructive and positive environment is always enforced, whilst de-escalating situations within the classroom in the correct way ensuring safeguarding procedures are always adhered.

As a colleague at Tiverton High School, you will join our duty team once a week to help to ensure that our students are supervised at lunchtime.
