Job summary

Prospero Teaching are recruiting Cover Supervisors to work across a range of mainstream secondary schools in Salford. From October 2026, Prospero will be the first point of call for a number of schools in the area for day-to-day supply.

A Guaranteed Pay Scheme is available for exceptional/experienced candidates. You don't need to have a particular subject specialism, but a willingness to step in to all lessons and a positive attitude is essential.

Qualifications

• Recent Graduate with a 2:2 or higher.
• UK school experience or working with young people is desirable but not essential.
• Safeguarding training in the last year, or willingness to undertake Prospero's training.

Responsibilities

• Cover classes in absence of a Class Teacher.
• Work across a range of mainstream secondary schools in Salford.
• Maintain safeguarding and classroom management while delivering lessons.

Prospero Teaching are recruiting Cover Supervisors to work across a range of mainstream secondary schools in Salford. From October 2026, Prospero will be the first point of call for a number of schools in the area for day-to-day supply. A Guaranteed Pay Scheme is available for exceptional/experienced candidates. The position is open to both graduates, ECTs and experienced cover supervisors and will provide excellent experience for those considering a career in education.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Recent Graduate, with a 2:2 or higher
• Previous experience working in a UK school, or working with young people, is desirable but not essential.
• Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year, or willingness to undertake Prospero's training.

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child related references
